What are the plantar fasciitis post-treatment orders?
Every physician has his or her own post-treatment orders. The following instructions are given by many physicians, however, it is important for patients to follow their own doctor's orders.
- Do not drive the day of the treatment.
- Rest the day of the treatment.
- No ice or anti-inflammatory medications for 3 weeks.
- Return to normal activities in 24 hours.
- No heavy exercise for 4-6 weeks.
- Continue with conservative treatments such as orthotics, splints, and stretching.
- Do not go barefoot. Wear a shoe with good support.
- Tylenol for pain management, as needed.
