How much does extracorporeal shock wave therapy cost?
The monetary cost of ESWT is determined by two components.
Both of these components can vary a lot from case to case so a definitive cost cannot be given across the board. With that being said, patients can expect to pay between $500 and $1,800 for shock wave therapy. These general prices do include both the technical fee and professional fee, therefore, these are total patient costs out-the-door.

Most patients pay cash for the procedure, however, for those patients who choose not to pay cash we do offer 12-month same-as-cash patient financing to those who qualify.
Lets look at some examples of payment options.
Example #1
Patient #1 is scheduled to have one heel treated and the total hypothetical cost is $1,100 out-the-door. In this example, Patient #1 decides to pay cash, therefore, Patient #1 pays $1,100 on treatment day.
Example #2
Patient #2 is scheduled to have one heel treated and the total hypothetical cost is $1,100 out-the-door. In this example, Patient #2 decides to pay half the cost, or $550 in cash, and use the 12-month same-as-cash terms for the remaining $550. Therefore, Patient #2 pays $550 on treatment day and will pay $46 a month for twelve months to pay off the balance.
Example #3
Patient #3 is scheduled to have one heel treated and the total hypothetical cost is $1,100 out-the-door. In this example, Patient #3 decides to finance all $1,100 using the 12-month same-as-cash terms. Therefore, Patient #3 will pay $92 a month for twelve months to pay off the balance.
As surprising as it sounds, often, cash-pay ESWT costs patients less out-of-pocket expense than an insurance covered invasive procedure. Look at the numbers!
